Self-confidence is important. It shapes our personality, and affects how we present ourself to others, how they see us. It also affects our path through life.
Self-confidence comes from taking action.
Even if we’re unsuccessful at what we originally wanted to achieve, we’ll have gained a little confidence, just from having taken action.
We need to pay attention to that. Allow that feeling to grow!
Digging a little deeper….
Taking action requires motivation, and sometimes courage.
Motivation and courage come from a desire that needs to be fulfilled.
Courage comes from facing uncertainty. It’s when we take action in spite of a potential risk. That risk could be low or high, depending on our view.
Like…when we feel we might fail, but we take action anyway. That’s when our motivation is high!
So, what helps is to focus on the “why.”
The underlying need or desire that motivates us to want to take action.
If we build that up in our mind, we’ll be able to take action.
The more we do that, the more we build confidence!
Keep track of all our “wins.” When we reflect back on them, we’ll realize that we’re building our confidence!
